How I Met Your Mother star Neil Patrick Harris end longtime partner David Burtka introduced twins Gideon Scott and Harper into their family (via surrogate) in 2010. An anonymous woman donated two of her eggs, and each man had their sperm implanted into one of the eggs. Then another woman carried the babies to term. Harris and Burtka each have guesses as to who is whose biological baby. Burtka believes Gideon Scott is Harris’ because he’s “a little more heady and intellectual.” The couple says the twins are quite different from one another, but both share a love of diverse food, ranging from octopus to duck liver.
