With this epic failure of a fall, Gracie placed 4th in the competition – marking it the first time that the U.S. did not place with a medal since 1936. Tough luck Gracie, but at least you look beautiful! This goes to show that even the most practiced routines can go wrong.

17-year-old Adelina Sotnikova of Russia ended up coming out on top in that competition, much to the joy of the home crowd, since the event took place in Sochi.
