Saddam Hussein was the former ruler and dictator of Iraq. Hussein was the fifth president of Iraq, which changed to the dictator and wartime ruler of the country. He was the supposed reason why America and Great Britain in 2003 invaded Iraq because he allegedly had weapons of mass destruction.

In 2003, Saddam Hussein was found hiding in a hole by U.S. forces and taken to an American military base. He was later turned over to Iraqi forces where he was held for several years before his execution by hanging. It was later reported that after the hanging his body had been stabbed eight times. His lawyer released a letter detailing Saddam’s last thoughts for the people of Iraq.

Uday Hussein: The Devil’s Double

The film The Devil’s Double was made about the life and character of Uday Hussein, the son of Saddam Hussein and his body double Latif Yahia. The film starred Dominic Cooper as Uday and Latif.

Latif Yahia is a real life person as both Saddam and his sons were known to use doubles in order to ensure their safety. In the film, at first Latif refused to take the position, however, he ultimately relented after being imprisoned and tortured by Uday. In real life, some have voiced doubt at the idea of Latif Yahia being a real double for Uday.
