Aretha Franklin was talented since she was a kid. She was seen as a child prodigy and recorded her first songs when she was fourteen. She also spent time performing with her dad’s Gospel revival show.

When Franklin turned fifteen, she dropped out to take care of her first kid. A noble move. Since then she has been given multiple honorary degrees from prestigious universities like Harvard and Yale.
