The Notebook is one of the most iconic romantic films. Ryan Gosling and Rachel McAdams threw their hearts into it. But there would never be The Notebook if Gosling hadn’t developed a love for movies in high school. He dropped out of Lester B. Pearson High School when he was seventeen, thanks to Rambo.

“When I first saw Rambo, that movie put a kind of spell on me, and I actually thought I WAS Rambo,” said Gosling. “So much so, that one day, I took a bunch of steak knives to school and threw them around at recess time because I thought we were in the movie!”
