These Bodybuilders And Fighters Almost Died While Training
This MMA Fighter Was “Dead” For Five Minutes

In November 2017, MMA fighter Clovis “C.J.” Hancock went head to head with fellow fighter Charlie Ontiveros for the regional Legacy Fighting Alliance promotion. It was in the second round of the fight that the 32-year-old had a taste of death. During the fight, Hancock collapsed on his back and went into cardiac arrest before his kidneys failed. When he finally woke up, he was already in the hospital and couldn’t remember anything from round two of the fight he was just in. Hancock wrote on his Facebook page, “Well I died tonight in the cage… they did [CPR] and hit me with the EKG twice and brought me back.”
