Open Marriages: Hollywood’s Worst Kept Secret?
William Moulton Marston

He might not be a household name, but Mr. Marston is the creator of Wonder Woman, who he based off of the two women that he lived with. Marston married psychologist Elizabeth Holloway, with whom he conducted a lot of experiments as Marston was a psychologist himself.
Through his studies and work at Tufts University, Marston observed women and was able to develop the Wonder Woman comic. While at Tufts, he took a liking to a student named Olive Byrne, who moved in with him and his wife. According to The New Yorker, “they lived as a threesome, ‘with love making for all,’ as Holloway later said.” Both Byrne and Holloway gave birth to two children, who all grew up with the three of them as parents.
