American business magnate and investor Warren Buffett was sort of in an open marriage himself. In 1952, he married Susan Thompson, with whom he had three children. But in 1977, Susan decided to move out of the house, leaving Warren behind. After Susan left, Warren began a relationship and moved in with Astrid Menks, who became his longtime companion.

The three were apparently good friends and quite close during this time. Although he lived with Astrid the rest of his life, Warren remained married to Susan until her death in 2004. After her death, Warren and Astrid finally tied the knot.
