Legendary German actress Marlene Dietrich was known to continually reinvent herself, which is why she was able to maintain a prolific and successful Hollywood career. She was rumored to be a secret lesbian, just one of several in Hollywood– a group of women she referred to as the “sewing circle.”

According to Wikipedia, Dietrich was married to assistant director Rudolf Sieber, with whom she had one daughter. “Throughout her career,” the page says, “Dietrich had an unending string of affairs, some short-lived, some lasting decades; they often overlapped and were almost all known to her husband.” It seems he didn’t mind so much about her lifestyle.
