Joseph Gordon-Levitt rose to popularity as a kid on the ’90s sitcom 3rd Rock from the Sun, in which he played Tommy Solomon, an ages-old extraterrestrial Informations Officer stuck in a pubescent boy’s body on Earth. We watched as he went through puberty on the show and boy, was this transition awkward. Gordon-Levitt made a name for himself in the new millennium after starring in the nerdy lead role of Tom Hansen in (500) Days of Summer and since then has been the sensitive heartthrob of many teenage girls, especially after taking on more serious roles in Inception and The Dark Knight Rises.
