Nerdy Actors That Turned Out To Be Total Heartthrobs

Patrick Dempsey made his film debut in 1987’s In the Mood, where he played Ellsworth Wisecarver, a teen from the 1940s who was often caught up with the law for running away with older women. Despite the role, Dempsey didn’t appear to be much of a looker back then or at least looked a little dorky, in our opinion. But certainly, Dempsey has grown up to be one of the sexiest actors today having acted in Sweet Home Alabama and Valentine’s Day. But he is currently best known for playing Dr. Derek Shepherd on Grey’s Anatomy. They don’t call him McDreamy for nothing.
