Funnyman Aziz Ansari is perhaps best known for his role as Tom Haverford on NBC’s Parks and Recreation. Sure, Tom’s flashy and materialistic personality isn’t what you think about when it comes to nerds or awkward types, but the role was certainly on the verge of typecasting Ansari for good. However, Ansari proved his acting and writing skills when he created Master of None for Netflix. Ansari plays Dev Shah, a forlorn commercial actor who navigates different types of relationships as he enters his thirties. People probably didn’t see him in a very attractive light due to his role as Tom Haverford, but he certainly can change your mind if you watch Master of None.
