Donald Glover humbly got his start in television as a writer for NBC’s 30 Rock, during which time he also became a member of the sketch comedy group Derrick Comedy with whom he starred in Mystery Team. He gained more popularity after appearing on NBC’s Community where he played Troy Barnes, a jock who begins to embrace his nerdy side. Glover also began a rap career as Childish Gambino, which many people believe is the reason he was eventually written off Community. He reemerged in television in 2016 with Atlanta, for which he won two Emmy’s for directing and starring in the show.
