Lea Michele Says ‘Glee’ Kick-Started Her Wellness Journey

Lea Michele is best known for playing Rachel Berry on the hit musical television show Glee. She recently opened up to Health magazine about how the show is the reason she learned the importance of self-care.

While shooting the show, she says she found that the better she treated her body, the better her on-camera performances were.

"I started to learn that the better I was eating and the better I was taking care of myself, the better I was looking and performing and feeling," said Michele. "From there, it just started to snowball. I became obsessed with learning what was best for me, whether it was a workout or a type of cleanse."

She went on to explain that she's always been happy with her body type, but when she reached her thirties she had to adjust to her body. She realized she was suffering from polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS). She had to make alterations to her diet and exercise regime to better suit the changes happening to her metabolism.

It looks like she has a lot more than just her career to thank Glee for!
