In April of 2017, news began to spread that the ESPN network was going to do a major lay-off of around 70 staffers, including on-air personalities that many viewers have followed for over a decade. No one knew who it might be, and then, it became a surprise to all as they announced the number would be closer to 100, and the employees of the network began receiving calls that they would no longer be working for ESPN. On April 26, reporters took to their Twitter accounts to deliver the news that they were let go. As imagined, it’s difficult for these reporters to learn that no longer have a job, and their sadness and frustration come through in their tweets.

See who else got the call.
