Behind the Scene Scandals That Took Place At ESPN
Deadspin Revenge on ESPN

In 2009, ESPN allegedly mislead Deadspin on the Steve Phillips affair story, which apparently deeply offended editor A.J. Daulerio. Daulerio decided, per Deadspin, that they should “unload the inbox of all the sordid rumors we’ve received over the years about various ESPN employees.” The fall- out from this passive-aggressive move did not go well for several employees. Rumors swirled about on air personalities Erik Kuselias and executive Jed Drake. But things got particularly bad for ESPN executives Katie Lacey and David Berson. Apparently the two were engaged in a romantic relationship which Lacey later confirmed to the New York Post. One month later, ESPN let go Lacey and Berson from the network when their contracts expired.
