You just know that Carrie Bradshaw herself is not going to be intimidated by a bunch of big-name fashion designers! In fact, the Sex and the City icon showed up at one of the fashion world’s biggest events wearing an H & M dress! SJP had even partnered with the affordable clothing line to design the gown.

Granted, she embellished it quite a bit to get the “China: Through the Looking Glass” theme of the evening exactly right. But the fact that Parker is comfortable enough with her own personal tastes to skip dealing with a designer is downright refreshing.
