Disneyland: Galaxy's Edge opened with critical acclaim and fanfare this summer, delivering on the promise to give Star Wars' fans an authentic experience. What Disneyland didn't expect was that fans would then give the park an authentic experience by smuggling goods out of the park for their own mischievous needs.

The story, first reported by The Orange County Register, explained that these smugglers have been taking the items and selling them on eBay and other websites for huge profits. The paper pointed out several items that can only be found within the confines of the park are now available illegally on eBay.

One of the most popular items is a metal spork used by patrons at Docking Bay 7 Food and Cargo. The small item was listed at $190, which seems pretty steep to us. Pilot assignment cards from the Millenium Falcon attraction were also being sold for $400!

In response to the thefts, Disneyland has stopped carrying certain items entirely. The metal spork, for instance, is no longer available for guests. While that solves one problem, it also means the smuggled items have become limited edition collector's items. If we thought $190 was a lot to ask for a metal spork, we can't imagine how much people will be asking for one now!
