You may have noticed that one actor suddenly disappeared from the series. Barton MacLane was one of the few regulars on the show in addition to the main cast. Sadly, Barton MacLane was battling a nasty round of pneumonia when he suddenly passed away in 1969. MacLane was best known as a character actor who made various TV and film appearances before his death. A tragic end for a great actor.
