Hagman was given the nickname “The Mad Monk of Malibu” for his eccentric behavior. One such instance took place when he drove his Harley-Davidson to shop for groceries while wearing a chicken suit. He disappeared from the spotlight for a while but returned in 1978 with “Dallas.” He was a little less “mad” by that time in his life.
