It takes even more guts to explain your reasons for the abortion or explain why you are pro-choice following your pregnancy termination. Nicki Minaj had an abortion when she was still in high school. During a Rolling Stone interview in 2015 she said “I thought I was going to die,” speaking of her feelings at the time. She admits the abortion has haunted her all her life but also acknowledges she wasn’t ready to have a child.
When Chelsea Handler was just 16 years old she had two abortions. She has very openly spoke about her decision. Chelsea admitted in an article she wrote for Playboy that she should never have had relationships with the “bad news” boyfriend. She admits that it was a tough decision and that she actually considered becoming a teenage mom.
Sharon Osbourne says having an abortion at 17 was the worst decision of her life. She also has spoken about three miscarriages she had later in life. She believes they were caused by damage to her body during her earlier termination. Sharon and Ozzy Osbourne went on to have three children, Aimee, Jack, and Kelly.
Whoopi Goldberg terminated her own pregnancy with a coat hanger when she was just 14 years old. She gave birth to daughter Alexandrea when she was 17, and her own daughter gave birth to a child at 16.
