If we know anything about director Jim Jarmusch, it's that he doesn't make traditional movies. With a resume ranging from Jarhead to Only Lovers Left Alive, the director is one of the more eccentric auteurs in the industry today. Knowing this, we were stunned to learn his next film is going to be a so normal.

The Dead Don't Die sees Jarmusch heading into well worn territory, unwinding a tale that takes place in what looks like the early days of the zombie apocalypse. And to lead his rag tag team of rebels, he's cast Bill Murray and Adam Driver as two officers just trying to make things right.

The film, which we're hoping is not an elaborate April Fools prank, began shooting in the Summer of 2018. Murray was the first announced cast member, with Adam Driver and Chloe Sevigny coming on board shortly after.

When fans of Murray found out he was going to be in another zombie film, they immediately wanted to know if he would be alive or not. He assured them, "It's a zombie movie. Jim Jarmusch has written a zombie script that’s so hilarious and it has a cast of great actors: Rosie Perez, Daniel Craig. It’s titled The Dead Don’t Die, and it shoots over the summer. But, no, I will not play a zombie."
