Biden Shows Sweet Support For Fellow Veep, Julia Louis-Dreyfus

Beloved Seinfeld actress Julia Louis-Dreyfus announced on Sept. 28, 2017, that she has been diagnosed with breast cancer. The actress took to Twitter to share the sad news with her fans while offering some amazing words of wisdom and an equally important warning.

“1 in 8 women get breast cancer. Today, I’m the one.”

That powerful statement was followed by the actresses promise to fight against her cancer with the help of her friends and family members. She also noted quite politically, that she is fortunate to have excellent healthcare, something many women don’t have on their side.

Following her tweet, former Vice President Joe Biden was quick to offer his love and support to the actress, who also happens to be a friend.

Many of Hollywood’s elite including former Seinfeld co-star Jason Alexander, Pitch Perfect actress Anna Kendrick, and Rosie O’Donnell send their heartfelt wishes for a speedy recovery. O’Donnell tweeted, “Sending love to Julia Louis-Dreyfus.”

Out of everyone to send love her way, the highest honor may have been from Biden. Dreyfus currently plays the U.S. Vice President on the award-winning series, “Veep.”

“We Veeps stick together,” Biden tweeted. “Jill and I, and all of the Bidens are with you, Julia,” he added.

“@JoeBiden yes we do. Love back to all of you,” she tweeted in her response.

Biden’s own son died of brain cancer in May 2015, he was only 46 at the time of his death. Following that tragedy, Biden and his wife Jill created a nonprofit to help recognize and address the critical issues in cancer prevention, care, and research. Louis-Dreyfus made Emmy history earlier in September after winning her sixth Emmy for her role in Veep.

HBO also released a statement for one of their biggest stars. “Your undaunted spirit has always been an inspiration to your family at HBO,” they tweeted. “Sending our love and support.” They also expressed their confidence in her ability to overcome this battle to US Weekly. “We have every confidence she will get through this with her usual tenacity and undaunted spirit, and look forward to her return to health to HBO for the final season of Veep.”

Hopefully, all the support she is receiving will lift her spirits as she moves forward with her cancer treatment regime.

Hopefully, as season seven of Veep marks an end to the popular series, a new chapter will open for her.
