Behind The Scenes Secrets: The Wizard Of Oz
Other Oz Versions

There were still even more versions of Oz including another 1914 adaptation called His Majesty, the Scarecrow of Oz. Next again was a story called The Magic Cloak of Oz which followed another character called Fluff who was the unhappiest person in Oz. In 1925, Larry Semon made Wizard of Oz in collaboration with L. Frank Baum, although it is not the version we have come to know and love. Lastly, an animated version was made in 1922, six years before the most famous version. For the rights to The Wonderful World of Oz, L. Frank Baum was paid only $75,000.
