Zac Efron Wants To Beat Himself Up For High School Musical

During the 2000s, Disney Channel was all about shows focused around high school and singing. So, they came up with the idea to combine the two and create High School Musical. Zac Efron starred as Troy Bolton, the popular, charismatic basketball captain that sang his way through the halls of the school with his gang of generic high school friends.

While at the time it made him one of the most famous and adored young actors around, it’s a part of his past that he’s trying to forget. In an interview with The Independent, he admitted that “I step back and look at myself and I still want to kick that guy’s [butt] sometimes.” However, he is thankful for the opportunities his early career gave him.

This upcoming actor openly denounced the show he was working on.
