For those that grew up during the 90s, Fresh Prince of Bel-Air was most likely part of your after-school routine. It was a show that helped define a decade while also launching Will Smith into stardom. However, today, Will Smith is deeply embarrassed for the role in which he played a version of himself.

Looking back at the show, Smith says that it’s painful to watch. In an interview with Graham Norton, he states that his acting was so bad and he was trying so hard to be good that it’s embarrassing to see.
