Shake what your mama gave you. These celebrities can thank their gorgeous parents for passing down their stunning good looks. From Angelina Jolie to Selena Gomez, these celebs are the spitting image of their mamas (and they may just follow in their footsteps, too boot.)
Through fame and fortune, celebrity moms have formed an unbreakable bond with their mini-mes. If there’s any relationship in Hollywood that’s sacred, it’s the one between a star and the woman who gave birth to her. Click through to see how the apple never falls far from the tree (even if they don’t always agree.)

Apparently, a few things run in the Jolie family – a penchant for marrying actors, stunning looks, and a dedication to humanitarian work. Before Bertrand died of ovarian cancer, she co-founded two charities: the All Tribes Foundation, which helped provide cultural and economic benefits to Native Americans, and the Give Love Give Life organization, which raised public awareness about women’s cancers.
Jolie followed suit and became the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees. She also founded the Jolie-Pitt Foundation, which aims to eradicate extreme poverty, conserve wildlife and protect natural resources. She donated a whopping $1 million to Doctors without Borders, and an international medical humanitarian organization, and regularly works with UNICEF.
Demi Moore and Rumer Willis

Rumer Willis doesn’t even pretend she’s not the spitting image of Demi Moore. The 20-something star posted an Instagram snap wearing matching outfits with her celebrity mom. She wrote, “That moment when you realize you actually are becoming your mother #twinning #imnotmad.” Who would be mad if their mom was as gorgeous as Demi?
Willis doesn’t just look like her mama, but she’s following in her footsteps. The actress has scored a number of TV and film roles with a groundbreaking stint on the 90210 reboot where she was embroiled in a hot-and-heavy lesbian romance. Moore’s shoes are pretty big to fill, but Willis has been in the spotlight since she was a baby. We’re guessing she’s not sweating the stardom too much.
Mandy Teefey and Selena Gomez
Instagram / Selena Gomez
Mandy Teefey was a 16-year-old mother who managed to catapult her young daughter’s success. The pair has been thick as thieves ever since — even if they had a brief blowout when Selena decided to give Justin Bieber another chance. Mama always knows best.
We’re not the only ones who noticed the mother-daughter duo is almost identical. Gomez posted a side-by-side photo of the pair on Instagram with the caption “Werk momma #igetitfrommymomma.” Not only are they in the same pose, but you can tell Gomez gets her face shape, lips and flowing hair from her stunning mom.
Michelle Obama and Malia Obama

Michelle Obama posted this stunning ’80s snap of her days as a college student at Princeton. She was a first-generation student in an Ivy League school that was mostly made up of well-to-do white kids. Eventually, that sense of perseverance brought her to the White House. Because of this, she encouraged all college kids to “be brave and stay with it.”
If this photo looks a little familiar, it’s because we almost saw it before. Malia Obama headed to Harvard after college (her father’s Alma matter) and the mother-daughter pair on their college campuses are like two peas in a pod.

Peggy Lipton and Rashida Jones aren’t just mom and daughter – they’re actual coworkers. In 2002, Jones worked with her mom and her brother on a play called Pitching to the Star. It was a few months after the play that Lipton was diagnosed with cancer.
Once she received the diagnosis, Jones became a rock for Lipton. “Chemotherapy is brutal. The goal is pretty much to kill everything in your body without killing you,” Jones said. “I wished I could have gone through it for her; I wanted to take the burden off her. Then I figured out a way to help. I decided my job was to find joyful moments during what could have been a terrifying time for both of us.” Lipton managed to make a full recovery, in no small part, thanks to her daughter’s positive outlook.
Doria Ragland and Meghan Markle

Doria Ragland had no idea she was raising a royal-to-be when she had Meghan Markle. The Duchess’ mom got divorced when Markle was just six-years-old and was raised the young star as a single parent. Since then, the pair has been incredibly close. So close, in fact, that Ragland is considering moving to London to be closer to her daughter.
She left her job as an L.A. social worker and is hoping to celebrate her 62nd birthday abroad. This snap showing Ragland and Markle in their 20’s shows the pair’s uncanny resemblance. Like mother, like daughter (even if your daughter becomes royalty.)
Lisa Bonet and Zoe Kravitz

Zoe Kravitz is the spitting image of her mother Lisa Bonet. It’s actually hard to tell the pair apart, but Kravitz doesn’t seem to mind. The star cites Bonet as a major inspiration. “She kind of stumbled into [the acting] world,” Kravitz said. “It wasn’t a conscious choice to be an actress, to be a famous actress, and to be… a model for so many young women. The beautiful thing about her is that she just thought a certain way and lived her life that way.”
Kravitz may have also stumbled into acting thanks to her favorite parents, but she’s a natural born star. She’s currently working on HBO’s Big Little Lies and makes an appearance in Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald.
Andrea Swift and Taylor Swift

Taylor Swift and her mother Andrea are extremely close. They don’t just share hairstyles, they share everything. As Swifty said in “This Is Why We Can’t Have Nice Things,” her scathing Kanye West takedown song, “Here’s to my momma, had to listen to all that drama.”
It also seems like Swifty’s mom is a driving force of strength for the star. She admitted that her mother inspired her to give an uncensored testimony during her sexual assault trial. When Andrea was too sick to show up in court, Taylor realized she needed to stand up all on her own.
Dianna De la Garza and Demi Lovato

Demi Lovato certainly gets her good looks from her mother, a former Dallas Cowboys cheerleader – but their relationship is so much deeper. De La Garza admits that there was a turning point in Lovato’s addiction when she was forced to make the difficult decision to keep Madison, Lovato’s younger sister, away from the star if she continued to use.
“That was the defining moment for her. That’s when she took her phone, smashed it and put it in a glass of water, as a sign that she was ready to commit,” she told People. “She gave up her phone, her car keys, her credit cards, she entered a sober living house and completely followed the program. But I have to believe in my heart that it was the mention of her little sister Madison and her realization that she could grow up without even knowing her, that helped Demi make the decision that she made that day.”
Jada Pinkett Smith and Willow Smith

Willow Smith may be the spitting image of her mama Jada Pinkett-Smith, but that doesn’t mean they always agree. The 17-year-old star admitted she was upset with the way Pinkett-Smith handled the release of her single “Whip My Hair.”
“I only have one terrible experience, which is ‘Whip My Hair,'” she told her mom during an emotional Red Table Talk. “Just that the values of the people around me should have been the opposite. You and Daddy should have been like, ‘OK, we value her musical growth and knowledge more than her popularity.'” No parent is perfect, even the Smiths.
Tish Cyrus and Miley Cyrus

Miley Cyrus has been a star since she was a pre-teen. That’s not easy for a young girl – unless you’ve got a strong mama to ground you. Miley’s unbreakable bond with her mother Tish goes way beyond the fact they look almost identical. If rumor has it, Tish was planning on designing Miley’s wedding dress.
“Oh my gosh. If and when that day comes, I’m sure,” Tish said about designing her daughter’s wedding gown. Whether Liam Hemsworth and Miley Cyrus will ever actually get married is always up in the air. Their on-and-off again relationship is pretty hard to keep track of, but Tish plans to support her daughter either way. If she made it through the twerking years, the rest seems like cake.
Judith Spies Eifrig and Kristin Cavallari

Reality TV star Kristin Cavallari has a new appreciation for her mother after becoming one herself. The Hills star has three young children with husband Jay Cutler: Saylor James, 2, Jaxon Wyatt, 4, and Camden Jack, 5. The 31-year-old reality star has actually come under some criticism for her parenting style.
Cavallari put out her cookbook True Roots: A Mindful Kitchen with More Than 100 Recipes Free of Gluten, Dairy, and Refined Sugar. Seemingly healthy, right? Apparently, it brought up more than a few questions about how Cavallari feeds her kids. She claimed while she cooks at home most of the time, her kids eat doughnuts on the weekend so “it’s not like they’re on some stupid diet.”
Cindy Crawford and Kaia Gerber

Famed model Cindy Crawford knows that her daughter Kaia Gerber is the spitting image of her younger self. The star posted a snap to Instagram showing the similarities between the pair’s yearbook photos. While Crawford might take to social media to post about her daughter, there is one thing she doesn’t understand.
“I definitely ask her her opinion on [Instagram] photos sometimes,” she told Byrdie. “Like is this good or not? But I remember in the beginning both my kids were like, ‘Mum, you use way too many hashtags—lose the hashtags.’ That was the one time where I really felt criticized by them.”
Tina Knowles and Beyonce Knowles

Who run the world? Mamas! On Mother’s day, Beyoncé shared this too-cute snap of her twinning with her mom Tina Knowles. Both Beyoncé and her sister Solange have made a name for themselves by championing black equality. Beyoncé even graced the red carpet with the mothers of the Black Lives Matter movement. According to Solange, their politically-charged music stems from one place: their mother.
“If my sister and my project feels like an ‘awakening’ to some,” Solange told The New York Times, “I am constantly saying that we both grew up in a home with two words: Tina Knowles.”
Kris Jenner and Kim Kardashian

Kris Jenner is a powerhouse of a momager – she managed to help each one of her children become superstars. Kylie, the mama’s youngest, is on her way to becoming the youngest self-made billionaire. Her company Kylie Cosmetics is currently worth about $900,000.
The apple doesn’t fall far from the tree when it comes to Jenner’s business savvy and looks. Not only is Kim Kardashian making bank in the tech world (a recent interview revealed a large swath of her income was from her branded app) but the pair look pretty similar (as long as you take away Kim’s epic tan.)
Jayne Mansfield and Mariska Hargitay

Losing a parent is never easy. It was particularly difficult for Mariska Hargitay, who was also in the 1967 accident that killed her mom, Jayne Mansfield. The ’50s icon had a striking resemblance to her daughter, which Hargitay more than recognizes. In fact, it reminds her of her mama every time she looks in the mirror.
“She was just so ahead of her time. She was an inspiration, she had this appetite for life, and I think I share that with her,” she told People. “Someone once said about [remembering] my mother: ‘All you have to do is look in the mirror. She’s with me still.”
Julia Roberts and Hazel Moder
Julia Roberts’ daughter Hazel Moder is a star-in-training. The 13-year-old certainly gets her looks from mom, but she also gets something else. Roberts plans to give her daughter a piece of Hollywood history. Remember the black Valentino gown that Roberts wore to accept her 2001 Oscar for Erin Brockovich? She’s currently keeping the iconic dress stored away for her daughter.
“It’s under my bed, in a box,” Roberts told People. “I have this little space in my house that my husband refers to as the heritage collection. Things I go, ‘I can’t get rid of [this], what about Hazel?’”
Debbie Reynolds and Carrie Fisher

Carrie Fisher and Debbie Reynolds were like two peas in a pod. Reynolds passed quickly after her daughter. According to her son Todd Fisher, the Hollywood icon “willed herself to die” so she could keep Fisher company.
“The common theory about Mom’s passing was that, after losing Carrie, Debbie Reynolds died of a broken heart. Take it from the son who was there, who knew her better than anyone else on earth — that’s simply not true,” he wrote. “Debbie Reynolds willed herself right off this planet to personally see to it that Carrie would never be alone.”
Jerry Hall and Georgia May Jagger

Jerry Hall is an icon. The supermodel famously married Mick Jagger in an Indonesian Hindu ceremony following a four-month romance. When the star had her daughter Georgia May, no one could have known just how similar the pair would be.
Like her mama, Georgia May is a supermodel with a passion for fashion. In fact, she raids her mom’s closet for the best ’80s digs. “I’ve got some of my mum’s stuff – some really funny 80s dresses that are easy for her to pull off, but not so much me,” she told The Telegraph. “She does go on about how she doesn’t have any good things anymore because we took them all, but I think she’s fine!”
Julianne Moore and Liv Helen Freundlich

In February 2018, the world was shocked to discover that not only had Julianne Moore’s daughter Liv Freundlich grown up (it was bound to happen eventually) but the pair look almost exactly the same. Freundlich has the long, red hair and the eyes, the face shape and the nose. It’s almost impossible to tell the two apart – except for the fact that there are decades between them.
Moore is proud of how her young daughter is growing up, which is especially difficult in the spotlight. “She is a wonderful student and a really great girl and an interested person,” she told People.
