Plastic surgery has become the norm in Hollywood. It seems as though there are more people working in the entertainment industry who have had plastic surgery than there are people who haven’t- and the stars agree! When done correctly, the results of cosmetic surgery are subtle and you can barely tell that any work has been done at all.
Other times, the results are much more obvious and people end up looking like expressionless dolls. Keep reading to find out which celebrities have opted to stay away from plastic surgery altogether.
Tina Fey has natural beauty oozing out of every pore on her body. She doesn’t care for plastic surgery and Botox very much and she once said, “You can point any kind of laser at my face, but I don’t think Botox is for me. I think it is bad. People who have too much, they look like their faces are full of candles – a shiny, shiny face.”
Tina isn’t going to be walking around with a shiny face any time soon.
Kate Winslet told the British media that plastic surgery “goes against [her] morals. I will never give in.” Kate absolutely does not need Botox or plastic surgery of any kind. I mean, look at her face. It’s perfect.
At 43-years-old, Kate is among the few who have been awarded an Academy, Emmy, and a Grammy Award. There’s no doubt she’s going to be a leading lady for years to come because she takes really good care of her skin.
Brooke Shields has actually admitted to having Botox treatment, but she said that she’s planning on staying away from plastic surgery.
She told Ladies Home Journal, “I want laser treatment because I’m not a fan of my wrinkles, but I have to find someone with a light touch. I’m scared I’ll end up looking like the Joker.” Some treatments are more drastic than others, and it’s hard to find the ones that don’t make you look unnatural.
Rachel Weisz told the Telegraph, “People who look too perfect don’t look sexy or particularly beautiful.” She has made a pact with Kate Winslet and Emma Thompson to never go under the knife.
Of course, Rachel Weisz is so naturally gorgeous that she doesn’t even need to think about plastic surgery. I hope I look this good when I’m 50. Rachel Weisz doesn’t look a day over 35.
You just need to take one look at Jack Nicholson’s face to know that he definitely hasn’t gone under the knife— not for plastic surgery at least.
Nicholson said, “I haven’t had surgery. I don’t want to be judgemental, but some of the things you see these days in Hollywood are a bit horrifying. I mean, I don’t know what’s going on here, but I don’t want to scare people.”
Beyoncé is literally perfect and as we all know, she’s flawless and she woke up like this, so obviously she hasn’t had any plastic surgery.
Beyoncé addressed the dangers of plastic surgery in her 2013 song “Pretty Hurts” in which she sings: “Pretty hurts. Shine the light on whatever’s worse. Tryin’ to fix something but you can’t fix what you can’t see. It’s the soul that needs the surgery.”
Julia Roberts has a radiant smile and radiant skin and she’s as gorgeous now as she’s always been. In 2010, Julia Roberts shared her thoughts about plastic surgery with Elle magazine: “I want my kids to know when I’m pissed, when I’m happy, and when I’m confounded,” Roberts said.
The thing about Botox and plastic surgery is that those kinds of procedures often restrict your face’s mobility If you want to keep smiling, you have to stay natural.
Actress Julianne Moore isn’t planning on having any cosmetic surgery any time soon.
“Everyone should do what they feel is best for them. Personally, I’ve not had anything done. It’s important to be able to play women at all points in their lives and I don’t like products that freeze your face in time. I need to show expressions. I’m not crazy about the idea of getting older, but it’s part of life,” Moore said.
Drew Barrymore is a real advocate for natural beauty. She even started her own cosmetics line that’s centered around looking your best, naturally.
Drew isn’t planning on having any plastic surgery. She wants to set an example for her daughters, and she can’t tell them that they’re beautiful just the way they are if she wants to change her own body. Drew said, “I just know it’s a slippery slope, and everybody’s starting to look a little waxy lately. I’m going to do everything I can not to go down that road.”
French model Brigitte Bardot has refused to go under the knife. Back in the day, Brigitte was one of the most beautiful women in the world. She had her heyday and then she aged gracefully just like everyone else in the world who can’t afford plastic surgery.
Brigitte is in her mid-’80s now and she looks like a woman in her mid-’80s. That’s fine with me. At least she looks like a real person.
Former First Lady Michelle Obama is a natural beauty. When she was getting close to her 50th birthday, she talked about her attitude towards cosmetic surgery: “Women should have the freedom to do whatever they need to do to feel good about themselves. Right now, I don’t imagine that I would go that route, but I’ve also learned to never say never.”
So Michelle Obama has never gone under the knife, but it’s nice that she respects people who make that decision.
Just like Michelle Obama, Diane Keaton has never gone under the knife, but she also isn’t totally opposed to the idea. Keaton said, “My thinking about plastic surgery is this. I haven’t had it but never say never. Because when you do, you are definitely going to go there.”
Diane Keaton is in her mid-’70s and she is absolutely stunning. She must have some pretty magical genes or something.
Alien actress Sigourney Weaver hasn’t had any cosmetic surgery, and she isn’t planning on getting any in the future.
Weaver said, “It’s not for me. It’s more interesting to learn how to get strong and be strong. My face is my canvass and I think it’s much more interesting now than it ever was.” Sigourney knows that wrinkles are features to be celebrated, not erased. Every line tells its own story.
Jodie Foster has been in the business for a long time. We’ve seen her age and then mature into the woman she is today. Jodie Foster has said that she will never go under the knife— for cosmetic surgery at least.
The Silence of the Lambs actress said, “As time goes on, I will play characters who get older: I don’t want to be some Botoxed weirdo.” We’ll hold you to that, Jodie.
Liv Tyler’s father is Aerosmith singer Steven Tyler. That man has had a lot of plastic surgery. Liv doesn’t want to put her body through any kind of cosmetic procedure, though. She may have got her full lips from her father, but she doesn’t share his views on beauty ideals.
The actress has said, “I don’t want to ever have cosmetic surgery, so I want to do the best I can with what I have. I hate that look where people’s faces have just changed. It’s so creepy.”
Meryl Streep has been very outspoken about her anti-plastic surgery opinions. She once said, “The good thing about getting older is that when they do cast you, it’s often something interesting – you’re no longer asked to be the beautiful leading lady.”
I think Meryl Streep is still a beautiful leading lady, but it’s nice to see her play characters with substance, too. I think Hollywood is getting better about writing complex female characters.
Cate Blanchett has expressed that she’s against plastic surgery in the past. She once said, “For me, I think what will be sexy in 50 years time will be wrinkles. Look at a man or a woman in their 50s and all I see when they have brushed their years away with surgery is self-obsession and fear. That’s not particularly attractive.”
Cate looks amazing, but more importantly, she’s super talented.
Charlize Theron is all about natural beauty and she wishes women would feel more empowered to just be themselves. Theron said, “I think today women are very scared to celebrate themselves because then they just get labeled.”
Charlize hasn’t had any work done on her face (or the rest of her body for that matter). She gets her good looks from exercising, eating healthy, and taking care of her skin.
Eva Longoria has at times felt dissatisfied with her smaller chest, but she’s decided that self-acceptance, rather than surgery, is the answer. Eva now appreciates that she doesn’t have to deal with the hassles of a larger chest, and she recognizes that at times everybody wants what they don’t have.
Eva said, “I like being small – I’ve known so many women with big boobs who feel overweight or end up with back problems.”
Actress Michelle Pfeiffer plans to age naturally— and so far it looks like she’s doing an excellent job with that plan. Michelle still looks as stunning as ever and still looks like her self.
“I don’t believe men want women to have grotesque plastic surgery or be undernourished and bony. All the plastic surgery in the world can’t stop you getting older,” Pfeiffer said. Getting older is inevitable. Don’t try to fight it. It’s a losing battle.
Salma Hayek thinks every woman has a right to get plastic surgery, but she doesn’t think she’ll ever choose to go down that road. Hayek said, “Plastic surgery is like the uniform of a generation. And it’s not necessarily beautiful. It’s not wrinkled-looking, but it’s not beautiful.”
I think Salma Hayek looks beautiful the way she is. Her skin is gorgeous, she’s a stylish queen, and I hope she never feels like she needs cosmetic surgery.
Halle Berry is known for her natural beauty. I mean, look at this woman. Can you believe that she’s in her 50s?
Halle once said, “I see women in their 30s getting plastic surgery, pulling this up and tucking that back. It’s like a slippery slope – once you start, you pull one thing one way and then you think, ‘Oh my God, I’ve got to do the other side.”
Look at Clint Eastwood’s face. Do you think this man has ever even thought about plastic surgery in his life? Absolutely not. That’s because men in Hollywood don’t face the same pressure to have a youthful appearance as women do. They’re allowed to age gracefully, and they can still get amazing movie roles well into their 70s.
When women can no longer play the beautiful ingénue, they’re forced to play the main character’s mother.
Years of drinking and drug use have really taken a toll on Kate Moss’ health and skin, but she’s become way more focused on what she’s putting into her body in recent years. Kate Moss famously said, “nothing tastes as good as skinny feels,” which a lot of people have taken issue with.
You’d think a person who is so dedicated to aesthetics would be willing to do anything to look younger, but so far Kate has stayed away from plastic surgery.
Ewan McGregor has never gone under the knife, but he keeps himself looking young in other ways. Ewan McGregor revealed his surgery-free secret to staying young explaining, “I shave my chest because having it hairy makes me look older.”
Hey, whatever works for you, man. Ewan McGregor is one of the most attractive men in Hollywood, but now I’m wondering if he would be even more attractive with a bit of hair on his chest…
I think Brad Pitt looks even better now than he did when he was younger. His wrinkles and grey hair only make him look more distinguished. Brad Pitt seems to be a really low-maintenance guy. Pitt said, “Being married means I can break wind and eat ice cream in bed.”
Well, he’s not married anymore. I wonder if the farting had anything to do with that. Anyway, Brad has never had plastic surgery as far as we know.
I think Leonardo DiCaprio is always going to have a boyish looking face. Leo is over 40 now and he still has the face of a teenager. Leonardo DiCaprio doesn’t like to be thought of as a sex symbol. He once said, “Being dubbed as a hunk sort of annoys me. It gives me a yucky feeling.”
The good news is, so far he hasn’t had to resort to plastic surgery to maintain his appearance.
Johnny Depp thinks it’s more important to stay youthful in spirit than in appearance. He said, “I suppose nowadays it’s all a question of surgery, isn’t it? Of course, the notion is beautiful, the idea of staying a boy and a child forever, and I think you can.”
He continued, “I have known plenty of people who, in their later years, had the energy of children and the kind of curiosity and fascination with things like little children. I think we can keep that, and I think it’s important to keep that part of staying young. But I also think it’s great fun growing old.”
Kate Beckinsale told Glamour magazine that she prefers a natural look to an artificial one. She said, “I much prefer how my mother looks to the people I see here [in Los Angeles] with wind-tunnel face.”
There’s no doubt that Kate is a beautiful person, both inside and out. She’s in her mid 40s and she still looks as gorgeous and as youthful as she did in her 20s.
Heidi Klum has been able to make her modeling career last well into her 40s, which is nearly unheard of for professionals in that industry. While Heidi doesn’t often walk runways anymore, she’s been able to diversify her talents and make a living in other ways.
Heidi Klum prefers a natural look. She told Allure, “Everyone has a view of what’s pretty and what’s not pretty, and [plastic surgery] just doesn’t look pretty to me.”
