Most of us watch the Super Bowl for one reason –we’re either rooting for our favorite team or we want an excuse to enjoy some buffalo wings and a nice, cold beer. As far as watching the game goes, the second best thing to our favorite team potentially winning is getting to watch all of the amazing Super Bowl commercials.
McDonald’s: The Showdown
Every year, major brands shell out about $3 million per 30 seconds to get a much-coveted advertising spot between plays. For this reason alone, the ads have to be some of the most memorable and hilarious of the year.
McDonald’s is known for being one of the brands that always has on-point Super Bowl Ads. One of their most iconic was 1993’s “The Showdown.” In the ad, Larry Bird and Michael Jordan compete in a friendly game of H-O-R-S-E to see who wins the delicious McDonald’s lunch.
