Khloé Kardashian Went To Her Very First Prom With A Lucky Superfan
On May 31st, Khloé Kardashian attended her first high school prom in Glendale, Calif. The 34-year-old reality star went to Hoover High School’s senior prom with Kardashian superfan Narbeh Babakhani, who runs the Instagram @narbehkardash, which has more than 240K followers.
The two started interacting through social media a few years ago and had previously met in person before Khloé attended Narbeh’s prom as his date. Narbeh also recently met the Kardashian's sister Kim at a KKW beauty pop-up event, as well as Kris Jenner.
Who Is Narbeh?
Narbeh Babakhani has been a long time fan of the Keeping Up With The Kardashians star Khloé Kardashian, and he started his Kardashian-Jenner fan account in June of 2015.
In an Instagram story posted after meeting up with Khloé in February 2019 at an event, Narbeh wrote, “I’m not her cousin/nor brother which are allegations I get a lot. We met on social media and she’s been following me for YEARS! When she met me she was so happy to finally see me and we clicked.”
Haters Gonna Hate
Narbeh tweeted out a handful of photos from the event with the caption, "Took my baby @khloekardashian to prom with me! Feeling over the moon!" which quickly went viral. The pair became a top trending topic on Twitter as well, with mostly positive reactions from fans.
Some commenters took issue with Khloé's "You had me at open bar" sign, which Narbeh later clarified on Instagram, "the sign is a joke! It's a high school prom there would never be an open bar."
A Family Affair
Prior to the event, Khloé went to Babakhani's house for the typical pre-prom photo shoot, where she met a number of his family members. Narbeh's brother Narek posted a photo of the three of them with the caption "With my two favorite people on the planet by my side, with @narbbeehhh and the wonderful, beautiful, and amazing @khloekardashian."
Khloe later tweeted at Narbeh saying, "Thank you for inviting me boo it was perfect!! I loved meeting your family!! We can't forget how gorgeous your Queen grandmother is!!" It seems like KoKo's a true member of the family now.
A Potential KUWTK Kameo
It’s not been confirmed if the experience was filmed for KUWTK, though some Twitter users claim they spotted a microphone clipped on her back so it seems likely clips could be featured on a later episode of the reality TV show.
Some Twitter users felt as if filming the night 'cheapened it' for Narbeh, while others pointed out that it didn't matter if she filmed it or not, she still made the superfan's night by being his prom date.
Khloe's Not The Only One
Khloé is not the first Kar-Jenner sister to attend prom with a fan though. In 2017 the youngest Kar-Jenner sibling, Kylie Jenner, attended El Camino High School’s senior prom in Sacramento with Albert Ochoa. Ochoa’s mother got in touch with Jenner’s best friend Jordyn Woods to ask the favor, explaining her son had trouble fitting in at times and she thought that Kylie would make for a memorable prom date.
Kylie shocked the school by showing up to prom with Ochoa, with Woods in tow. The night was featured on the first episode of Kylie's show Life With Kylie as well.
