Donald Trump’s Worst Insults

Donald Trump is famous for many things but one of his major claims to fame is constant insults of any person, place, or thing, especially if they insult him first. Check out this collection of Donald Trump’s worst ever insults and you can be sure there is more where that came from.

Meryl Streep

At the 2017 Golden Globe Awards, legendary actress Meryl Streep was awarded the Cecil B. Demille award which recognized her great contribution to film. Meryl used her time at the platform to speak about Donald Trump, although she never mentioned him by name. Meryl said that it was discouraging to see a person in power mock another person with a disability. She was referring to Trump’s mocking of New York Time’s reporter Serge F. Kovaleski.

Meryl also called to treat one another with empathy and encouraged the acting community to aid in the protection of journalists. Of course, the president-elect couldn’t resist responding and tweeted that Meryl (who has been nominated for a Golden Globe more than any actress ever) was extremely overrated. He also referred to Meryl as “a Hillary flunky who lost big” and again denied that he mocked Mr. Kovaleski.

Disabled NYT Reporter: Serge Kovaleski

During the campaign for the 2016 election, Trump took a lot of heat when he said that it was widely reported that thousands of Arabs were celebrating in New York City when the towers came down. In a report at the time, Mr. Kovaleski said that police investigated reports of a few people celebrating. When the journalist pointed out that there were no reports of massive amounts of people celebrating, Trump criticized him saying he was “backing away” from his previous comments.

trumpinsults2.jpg

Mr. Kovaleski has a condition called arthrogryposis, which affects the joints and can be seen particularly in his right arm and hand. At a campaign event, Trump did an “impression” of him, while holding his hand at an odd angle and said, “Now, the poor guy, you’ve got to see this guy: ‘Uhh, I don’t know what I said. Uhh, I don’t remember.’” Trump has denied that he was making fun of his disability. But there are videos that prove it happened.

Ted Cruz and Family

Donald Trump and Ted Cruz were definitely at each other’s throats when vying for the republican candidacy in the 2016 election. Trump referred to Cruz as “Lyin’ Ted.” He also said that Ted’s father was somehow involved in the assassination of President Kennedy.

trumpinsults3.jpg

Trump was also outraged when scandalous photographs of Melania, from her modeling days, were released. Trump again blamed Ted Cruz and retweeted a photo that compared Heidi Cruz’s looks to Melania’s. Ted told Trump to “leave his wife the hell alone.” The taunts continued back and forth throughout the campaign and election, although Ted eventually did lend his support to Trump.

John McCain

While on the campaign trail, Donald Trump attacked John McCain that was offensive to many, especially veterans and POWs (Prisoners of War). While being interviewed at the Family Leadership Summit in Iowa, Trump said, “He’s not a war hero. He was a war hero because he was captured. I like people who weren’t captured.”

trumpinsults4.jpg

John McCain was captured during the Vietnam war when his plane crashed. John was badly injured fracturing both arms and a leg when ejected from the aircraft. When he was captured, soldiers crushed his shoulder and bayoneted him. He was held for five and a half years in a Hanoi prison, suffering regular torture that included rope bindings and beatings. Donald Trump never served in the military.

Hillary Clinton

What would a list of Donald Trump’s insults be without including Hillary Clinton? Trump constantly went after Hillary and his top insult was probably calling her “Crooked Hillary.” But he also called her a large variety of other names like “Nasty Woman” which immediately took off with countless memes on the Internet.

trumpinsults6

Trump also once said that she “has zero natural talent,” whatever that means. Trump is still going on about Hillary even after losing the election, so let’s hope at some point within the next four years he changes his tune. Yeah, it seems unbelievable. And yeah, it really did happen.

El Chapo

Donald Trump claimed on Twitter that he would “kick El Chapo’s butt.” He was referring to the famed drug lord, Joaquin Guzman, who is now incarcerated. Of course, El Chapo, or at least an account purporting to be the official account of the drug lord, didn’t take this so well.

trumpinsults7.jpg

The account is allegedly being run by the El Chapo’s son Ivan Guzman. They threatened Trump over Twitter in Spanish saying that “I’m going to make you eat your words,” with very colorful language. Later, Trump’s camp apparently contacted the FBI over concern of death threats saying they took the threats seriously. Yikes!

Arnold Schwarzenegger

After the recent debut of the new season of Celebrity Apprentice, Donald Trump lashed out against Arnold Schwarzenegger who is serving as the new host. Apparently, although Donald is going to be serving the country in the presidency, he has remained on the show’s crew as an executive producer.

trumpinsults8.JPG

Donald lambasted Arnold for having poor ratings, and referred to himself as a “ratings machine.” However, Donald just seems mad because Arnold didn’t support him during his run for the presidency. Arnold, of course, replied by telling him that he needs to focus on his job now – running the country. Trump has yet to reply back so we shall see what happens next!

Ronald Reagan

In the late 1980s, Donald Trump criticized the revered Ronald Reagan and his team by taking out full page adds in the New York Times, the Boston Globe, and the Washington Post. The ads specifically say that their foreign policy “lacks backbone.” Around the same time, Donald was pushing his book The Art of The Deal. In the book, he again maligned Reagan and even said he was unwilling to stand up to the Soviet Union.

trumpinsults9.jpg

This is a pretty hilarious conjecture considering Donald is now under fire for allegedly having extremely close ties to Russia and the ex-Soviet Union KGB leader Vladimir Putin. Donald has even publicly complimented Putin, saying he is very smart and believes they would “get along very well.” With the recent release of the (yet to be substantiated) Steele dossier which alleges that Russian intelligence has compromising information on Donald and with the (very much substantiated) reports that Russia definitely interfered with the 2016 presidential election, it is yet to be seen what the actual relationship with Russia will be in years to come.

Macy’s

Donald Trump recently was outraged that Macy’s dropped his clothing line. Macy’s stopped selling his clothes after Donald said Mexican immigrants were rapists and murderers. Donald, of course, took to Twitter to declare, “Macy’s stores suck.” Donald’s clothing line has also been questioned because they have been manufactured in different countries including both China and Mexico, which although being something he has railed against, it has not been something he’s upheld within his own companies.

trumpinsults10.JPG

Macy’s still sells Donald’s daughter Ivanka’s jewelry line although it is also manufactured in China. The CEO of Macy’s maintains his company made the right decision and also said they do not want to be politically affiliated saying, “I just think we don’t want to be a politically associated company, we sell to everybody at Macy’s and have a broad and diverse customer base.”

CNN

Donald Trump has consistently railed against CNN and many other news sources. The terrifying part about this is that any news outlet he feels is presenting a “bad” view of him he refers to as “fake news.” There have been several instances throughout history when leaders have highly criticized the media, and some took even further measures against the media.

trumpinsults11.jpg

For example, Adolf Hitler took power in 1933 he attacked the news and purposely instituted State-run media even going as far as destroying printing presses and newspapers and only publishing “approved” news. Donald has named Steve Bannon as a Senior Counselor in his cabinet, Steve previously worked as the executive chair of Breitbart News, which has come under fire for being an “alt-right” publication. Steve himself as also reportedly been accused of making anti-Semitic remarks. At Donald’s first press conference since the election on January 11, 2017, Donald refused to take Jim Acosta, a CNN reporter’s, question shouting at him that he was fake news.

Megyn Kelly

Donald Trump and Megyn Kelly, who recently left FOX news for NBC, were constantly at odds, especially before the election took place. Donald was apparently unhappy with Megyn’s coverage of him and her questions as she moderated one of the debates. He discussed her on Twitter multiple times, even referring to her as a “lightweight”.

trumpinsults12.JPG

His most notable insult, however, can in the form of a phone interview with CNN when he said that Megyn had, “blood coming out of her wherever,” a blatant reference to a woman’s menstrual cycle. This comment was disparaging as it seemed to insinuate that a woman’s menstrual cycle made her unable to perform duties such as a moderating a debate.

Rosie O’Donnell

Perhaps the insults that started it all (but probably not), Donald is super famous for lambasting comedian and actress Rosie O’Donnell. They have had a longstanding feud that began when Rosie made comments about Donald Trump’s bankruptcy and marriages on The View way back in 2006. The two continued to make barbs at each other through the media, and Donald regularly referred to her as fat.

trumpinsults13.JPG

He even made a comment on her marriage in 2011, saying her partner’s parents must have been devastated. Rosie responded with an insult of her own. Although in 2012, there was a brief hiatus from the insults after Rosie suffered a heart attack. Donald tweeted for her to get better soon, and said he “was beginning to miss her.” That didn’t end the feud, however, and the two have insulted each other as recent as 2015.

Seth Meyers

Donald Trump has regularly taken issue with Seth Meyers, probably since Seth told a bunch of jokes about him at the White House Correspondents Dinner in 2011. Seth made jokes about Donald’s hair, his clothing line, and even a presidential run. Donald’s favorite insult for Seth is that “he has marbles in his mouth,” which he has said when he co-hosted on Live with Kelly and before he hosted the Emmy’s.

trumpinsults14.jpg

Seth recently appeared on Howard Stern and commented on Donald’s insult saying, “It was the best. I have marbles in my mouth. Which is like 1950s bully talk.” By saying that, he did the best thing one can do when faced with a bully: he rendered him irrelevant.

Ronda Rousey

While appearing on CNN, Ronda Rousey was asked if she would vote for Trump, she said no and that, “I don’t want a reality TV star to be running my country,” and that she preferred that politicians not have any corporate interest like Bernie Sanders. She also stated that she wouldn’t “trust” Donald with running the country.

trumpinsults21.jpg

Donald couldn’t help but tweet out an insult in response. Apparently, he never forgets because he waited until after Ronda’s shocking knockout to Holly Holm. Donald tweeted that he was happy to see that Ronda had lost and that she was not a nice person.

Rick Perry

Donald Trump insulted Rick Perry during the campaign trail numerous times. Particularly, Donald loved to challenge Rick’s intellect. He said that he wore glasses to try and look smart and that he should be forced to take an IQ test. After the election, Donald named Rick Perry as his pick for the Secretary of Energy.

trumpinsults15.JPG

During the previous election, Rick was famously asked what department he would do away with and he tried to but forgot the name of the Department of Energy. So now he has been placed in charge of the very department he would do away with. Brilliant! (That is sarcasm.)

Kristen Stewart

All the way back in the summer of 2012, the world was in the midst of a celebrity scandal when it was revealed that Kristen Stewart was photographed cheating on her boyfriend and vampire co-star, Robert Pattinson. Twi-hards everywhere were heartbroken, and it appears that Donald Trump was also deeply affected.

trumpinsults16.JPG

Donald unleashed a series of tweets, saying that Kristen had cheated on Robert “like a dog,” and also said Robert could “do much better.” He also offered up an open invitation for Robert to attend the Ms. Universe pageant, presumably so Donald could introduce him to one of his beauty queens. It doesn’t seem as though Robert ever took him up on his offer.

Samuel L. Jackson

In an issue of Rhapsody magazine, Samuel L. Jackson said he had played golf with Donald Trump. When the interviewer asked him who was the better golfer, Samuel said that he was definitely the better golfer. Donald Trump was definitely upset about his golf game being insulted because he took to Twitter.

trumpinsults17.JPG

He claimed that he had never met Samuel, but then Donald went on to say that Samuel does too many commercials and that he’s boring. Donald also said he wasn’t a fan and attacked Samuel’s golf game saying his swing wasn’t “athletic” and that “he cheats.” Black-ish star, Anthony Anderson, interjected that all three had played golf together previously.

John Lewis

Congressman John Lewis publicly criticized Donald Trump, saying that he does not consider the president-elect to be a legitimate president and said he would not be attending the inauguration. Mr. Lewis was a major player during the Civil Rights movement in 1960s. He walked alongside Martin Luther King, was a freedom fighter, and had his skull fractured by a soldier on the famous “Bloody Sunday” in the Selma to Montgomery marches.

trumpinsults18.jpg

The weekend before the United States’ MLK Jr. day , Donald lashed out on twitter criticizing the Civil Rights legend, saying that Congressman was all talk, no action. The internet was infuriated and immediately blasted Donald, with one user stating that “You’ll never do half as much as John Lewis has for this country. Never.”

Alec Baldwin

Ever since Alec Baldwin has taken on the recurring role of playing Donald Trump on Saturday Night Live, Donald has been very unhappy with him to say the least. Donald has regularly criticized the performance saying his that Alec’s “portrayal stinks” and “his impersonation can’t get any worse”.

trumpinsults19.jpg

He has also criticized SNL as a whole saying that the show is “overrated” and “biased”. Alec responded to Donald’s insults saying that if Donald would release his tax returns then he would stop his impersonation. We’ll see if Donald ever takes Alec up on his deal. Check out Alec’s impersonation below!

Ms. Universe Alicia Machado

During the campaigns for the 2016 presidential election, former Ms. Universe Alicia Machado came out saying that Donald had been very unkind to her based on her weight after she won the pageant. Donald did not apologize but rather doubled down on the criticisms. Alicia appeared in a commercial supporting Hillary Clinton, and Donald again lashed out and even alleged that she was involved in a “sex tape”.

trumpinsults20.jpg

Media outlets sought to verify that she was involved in a pornographic film, however none could verify the claim. Interestingly, there has recently been a similar claim against Donald. With the release of the Steele Dossier, information collected by a former British Mi-6 spy, one shocking allegation claims that the Russian government actually has a video tape of Donald engaging in a sexual situation with Russian prostitutes. Only time will tell if the tape, and the reports will be substantiated.
