Actress Cameron Diaz has dazzled us with her roles in Charlie’s Angels and There’s Something About Mary, although she is perhaps most recently known for being the voice of Princess Fiona in the Shrek films. Many people assume that Cameron is your all-American girl, but after all, her last name is Diaz.

The actress is actually half-Cuban through her father, whose family emigrated to America from Cuba before Diaz was born. In an interview, Diaz recounts that her family settled outside of Tampa, Florida at the turn of the century where they were cigar rollers before they eventually moved to California.
