Kate Winslet Cringes At Her Titanic Performance

After being nominated for her role in Peter Jackson’s psychological thriller Heavenly Creatures, it was clear that Kate Winslet had a career in acting. However, the movie that really put her on her map was the role of Rose in James Cameron’s film Titanic. After its release, she quickly became one of the world’s most prominent actresses.

15 years after filming Titanic, Winslet admitted that she wasn’t a fan of her performance and that she would do it all over again if she could. She commented saying that “Even my American accent, I can’t listen to it. It’s awful […] I have a hard time watching any of my performances, but watching Titanic I was just like, ‘Oh God, I want to do that again.'”
