Some of us like to have the best of both worlds. Over the past few years, there has been a growing acceptance of LGBT individuals. From gay rights to gay marriage, there is a positive recognition of the LGBT lifestyle, and the trend keeps growing. Here are twenty actresses who love to play for both teams. Wait until you see how much of a hypocrite one of these stars is!
Say It Loud, I’m Bi And I’m Proud
Vanessa Carlton is a singer and songwriter. She is known for her song “A Thousand Miles” which reached the top five on the Billboard Hot 100 in 2002. “Be Not Nobody” is her debut album which received a platinum certification. Carlton came out of the closet in 2010, declaring: “I’ve never said this before but, while we’re here and living out loud as we should every single day, I, myself, am a proud bisexual woman.”
Angelina Jolie Loves Women
Angelina Jolie is an actress and the daughter of Jon Voight Angelina Jolie was asked in a 2003 interview if she was bisexual. She plainly said, “Of course.” But it doesn’t stop there. She got into detail about her encounters with the opposite sex.
She told OK Magazine, “I have loved women in the past and slept with them. I think if you love and want to pleasure a woman, particularly if you are a woman yourself, then certainly you know how to do things a certain way.” Another person on this list feels almost the same exact way.
It’s Like Exploring Herself
Drew Barrymore is a veteran actress known for movies such as E.T. and The Wedding Singer. In several interviews, Barrymore has stated “Do I like women sexually? Yeah, I do. Totally. I have always considered myself bisexual.” And… “Being with a woman is like exploring your own body, but through someone else. When I was younger I used to go with lots of women. Totally. I love it.” As you can tell from the photos above, coupled with her comments, Barrymore is a champion for going both ways. More power to her.
It’s Your Problem, Not Hers
Anna Paquin is an actress known for playing the mutant Rogue in two X-Men films. In 2009, Anna said “For me, it’s not really an issue because I’m someone who believes being bisexual is actually a thing. It’s not made up. It’s not a lack of decision.”
This was Paquin’s response to people who throw dirt on those who identify as bisexual. Some say it isn’t a thing while others say it’s just an excuse to be free. Paquin is here to let you know it is real and people aren’t making it up.
No Beating Around The Bush
Carrie Brownstein is a singer and actress best known from Portlandia. Brownstein’s sexual identity was assumed to be straight, which she thought didn’t show all sides of her identity. In 2012 she said, “It’s weird because no one’s actually ever asked me. People just always assume, like, you’re this or that. It’s like, ‘OK. I’m bisexual.'”
With a topic as sensitive as this one, the worst thing you can do is assume falsely or even assume at all. People are very protective and particular about their sexual orientation. The next two stars feel that no one gives them respect.
Cara Delevingne Is Having Fun

Cara Delevingne is a model and an actress. Although Cara never came out announcing her sexual orientation, it wasn’t hard to figure out, based on her actions. She has told The Telegraph, “What do I think? I think people shouldn’t be scared of that. I’m young, I’m having fun, I don’t want to pretend to be something I’m not… So I don’t really care on that matter. People can say what they want, but I’m having a good time. I know what people are doing who are my age; I just think it would be a lie to pretend that I’m not having a good time.”
Cynthia Nixon Doesn’t Get Respect
Cynthia Nixon is an actress known for playing Miranda Hobbs in Sex and the City. In an interview she said, “I don’t pull out the ‘bisexual’ word because nobody likes the bisexuals. Everybody likes to dump on the bisexuals… We get no respect.” She took some backlash when she said it was a choice to identify as queer but she later cleared the air on her statement.
“I didn’t really identify as bisexual,” she said. “But people were so insistent that I pick a– you know, it caused a huge controversy and everyone wanted to graft onto me this narrative– [that] I felt that I had just simply been mistaken about myself for all these years and finally the veil was lifted and I was a lesbian. And that was not true.”
What Evan Rachel Wood Said About Miley Cyrus
Actress Evan Rachel Wood said in a tweet, “I myself am bisexual and have always ‘joked’ about Miley giving me gay vibes. Not a bad thing! Just an observation.” Early in 2017, she also used her voice to speak up for others like her who don’t have the platform to do so when she spoke at the Gala for Human Rights in North Carolina, the place where she grew up. She closed her speech with, “I choose to use my voice because it would feel selfish to have acquired the platform to represent the underrepresented and to not use it.”
Falling In Love Is Like Eating Organic Food
Jillian Michaels is a fitness guru, best known as a trainer on The Biggest Loser. In a 2010 interview with Ladies Home Journal Michaels said, “Let’s just say I believe in healthy love. If I fall in love with a woman, that’s awesome. If I fall in love with a man, that’s awesome. As long as you fall in love… it’s like organic food. I only eat healthy food, and I only want healthy love!”
No matter how open-minded this way of living may be, there are still others who won’t respect it. Maybe if more people looked at love this way, there would be less heartbreak. This next person is a perfect example.
Margaret Cho’s Queer Lifestyle
Stand-up comedian Margaret Cho told the New York Times, “I refer to myself as gay, but I am married to a man. Of course, I’ve had relationships with women, but my politics are queerer than my lifestyle.”
She also opened up about her open marriage and it sums up to her being able to have the freedom to do what she wants with whoever she wants. “I’m married to a man but I’m bisexual so I like both,” Cho said. “We got together because … we both have this [idea], ‘I just don’t want to have sex with the same person my whole life. That’s just gross.’”
Fergie’s Friendly Fire
Fergie is a musician and actress. Fergie has said, “I’ve had a lot of fun with women, and I’m not ashamed of it. The problem is that I also love a well-endowed man. But just because I enjoy women doesn’t mean I’m allowed to have affairs in my relationship. I learned through talking with my therapist that it is still cheating even if it’s with girls, so there is a rule there.” At least she knows the unwritten rules of that community and plays by them. However, there are some who think the opposite of how Fergie thinks.
Gillian Anderson’s Sketchy Past
In 2012, actress and writer Gillian Anderson said, “I was in a relationship with a girl for a long time when I was in high school, and then I was in a relationship with a punk rock drug addict…You know, I’m old enough that I can talk about that.”
However, she is not done with the idea of dating the same gender. “I wouldn’t discount it,” Anderson explained. “I did it before and I’m not closed to that idea. To me, a relationship is about loving another human being; their gender is irrelevant.” Up next, we have someone who thinks we are all bisexual.
“Everyone Is Bi”

Actress Megan Mullally told The Advocate, “I consider myself bisexual, and my philosophy is, everyone innately is.” Some took this statement the wrong way so she elaborated further.
“I said that I thought that everybody is innately bisexual. I think there are different levels of awareness attached to that, so I may believe that everybody is innately bisexual, but somebody who is very homophobic may not see that quality in themselves in any way, shape or form. That’s on a very philosophical or even metaphysical level, you know what I mean?”
Amber Heard Says It’s The Person That Matters
Amber Heard is most well-known for her role in Zombieland. At a 2010 GLAAD event, Heard said, “I don’t label myself one way or another—I have had successful relationships with men and now a woman. I love who I love; it’s the person that matters. I don’t imagine myself, my work, or my life, fitting into any kind of standardized path,” she continued. “In fact, the idea of there even being a standard freaks me out a lot.”
It appears that the common trend here is that it doesn’t matter what the gender of the person is, so long as you love the person and are in a healthy relationship.
Up next, this hot fox calls herself a hypocrite!
Megan Fox The Hypocrite
Megan Fox has appeared in many films and TV shows, including Transformers. In a 2008 interview with GQ she said, “I have no question in my mind about being bisexual. But I’m also a hypocrite: I would never date a girl who was bisexual because that means they also sleep with men, and men are so dirty that I’d never want to sleep with a girl who had slept with a man.”
So if you have had any relations with men, Fox won’t have you, ladies. She’s also another person who thinks people were born bisexual. “I think people are born bisexual and then make subconscious choices based on the pressures of society,” she said.
Azealia Banks Is Her Own Person
Azealia Banks is a rapper known for her singles “212” and “Us.” In an interview with Rolling Stone, she was asked if she was fond of her gay fans. She said, “Definitely. I mean, I’m bisexual, so it makes sense. But I don’t want to be that girl who says all gays necessarily hang out together, of course! I have people say to me, ‘Oh wow, my friend is gay, too,’ and I’m like, ‘Yeah, so?'” So basically what she is trying to say is, everyone identifies differently and there’s a lot of diversity within the LGBTQ community.
Snooki Keeps An Open Mind
Reality TV star Snooki has confessed to being with women. She stold the Huffington Post, “I would consider myself bi. I’ve done stuff with girls before. But I would never be [seriously involved] with a girl because I like… penis. But I’ve experimented.” That is an honest answer but does it make her bisexual? Depending on who you ask then yes, Snooki is bisexual but others would just label her as an experimenter. Maybe as time goes on she will identify ais bisexual, but for now, it appears she just wants to be labeled as straight.
Lady Gaga Has Always Been This Way
Lady Gaga is a musician known for her sometimes outlandish fashion choices. In 2009 Gaga came out during an interview with Barbara Walters. She also revealed that “Poker Face” was about her bisexuality. She has also said, “You know what? It’s not a lie that I am bisexual and I like women, and anyone that wants to twist this into ‘she says she’s bisexual for marketing,’ this is an [expletive] lie. This is who I am and who I have always been.” Don’t get it twisted when dealing with Gaga, people! She means business.
Ke$ha Loves All
In 2012, Ke$ha said in an interview with Seventeen magazine, “I don’t love just men. I love people. It’s not about a gender. It’s just about the spirit that exudes from that other person you’re with.” She made a similar claim back in 2010 when asked about her preference.
“I wouldn’t say I’m gay or straight -– I don’t like labeling things anyway. I just like people.” She has a strong conviction as to what she likes when it comes to love. And she also follows the trend of loving who you love as long as it’s real.
Amber Rose Has It Her Way
Model and actress Amber Rose is also known as Kanye West’s ex and has a child with her former husband, Wiz Khalifa. In a 2009 interview with Complex magazine, Amber Rose stated, “I’m extremely open with my sexuality. I can be in love with a woman, I can be in love with a man. I’m not into bestiality, but as far as humans go, I definitely find beauty in everybody, whether they’re heavy-set, super-skinny, if they’re white, black, Indian, Asian, Spanish…” Rose may take a lot of heat from the public but she has a loving heart.
